I am a maker.  I use craft practices to mediate embodied experiences, to evoke memory.  I am intrigued by textures, things, ideas, events, the world and being in it; fascinated by subjective perceptions of objective phenomena...intrigued by the inter-subjective relationships we have with objects.   Objects absorb time, conjure experience, and hold stories. I intentionally work with textures and touch to make and reconfigure objects and materials in the hopes of coaxing them into revealing their narratives … enticing salt crystals to grow on spun-paper, weaving with mono-filament, transforming work-shirts into bricks, or re-purposing vintage life jackets as warning beacons. I am intrigued by both the technical and conceptual - the meditation of my hands in response to my own subjective presence.
